The Laziest Disciple Ever
We've had the Master & Disciple system in the game now for just a little over a year. In fact, we had our largest number of hits in one day, the day patch 101 came out early last year. We've written a lot about the Masters & Disciples, and if you're new to the game, it's worth to read the background information that we've put together.
You can find all of our articles on any given topic in that side bar to the right. It's in alphabetic order by topic.
If you listen to any disciple you'll always hear them complaining that their master is never online. I don't know why anyone would want to be a master if they aren't going to be online all the time, and I try to tell wannabe disciples to be careful who they pick as a master. Once you pick one, you're stuck with him for 72 hours. A good grinder can get to SM1 in that time, so ask around and find yourself master who can actually help you.
The other side of the coin is the complaints from the masters, all about lazy disciples, and I've had my share. The guys I hate are the ones building a new alternate character, and they want a master for that character but, "event now, so I is go plays my main. k, thx, buhbai". Grrr...
The least you can do if you you're building an alt-character with a master is to get that character to SM1 as quickly as you can, so the master can give that spot to the next disciple.
We're doing fairly well recruiting for the league on the German server because we've been able to get a few people to SM1, and we always have disciple spots available for players moving over to this server.
Anyway, let me tell you about The Laziest Disciple Ever.
I got my band going a few weeks ago and I needed a couple of people willing to join us, to build a band for each of the Heavenly Demons and Sacred Flowers and then form a league. Obviously I would prefer to have people I know and have played the game with before. WuTaHe from the Restless League joined us to start a Demon band, and to help that along I took him on as a disciple.
He did great. Obviously he's an experienced player and was able to reach the RL1 level in just a couple of days. With a few map shouts, Lion's Roars, and a few people I had in my friends list, he got his band started. We met up in Hefei, formed an Alliance, and Disconnected was a league again.
Here's where it gets funny. After that DeMoral (his new character name) ran to Xuanshe on the Shi Zhang map, he sat down and then did not move at all for more than a week! In fact, he only finally got disconnected from the server yesterday when Games Campus took the server offline for patch number 10. He's still RL1!!!
DeMoral/WuTaHe wins, hands down, the award for Laziest Disciple Ever! Still, I miss him, and forgive him. It's ok, he can come back. I won't be mad.
Uhm, I miss xenawarior too...
