There are going to be a lot of really disappointed people next Tuesday, and a lot of us are going to be hearing the news that the game will be up on Tuesday. Let me assure all of you that that is not going to be the case, because this is a case of people reading what they want to see.
Hyperion wrote us another Daily Update late yesterday afternoon in his time zone, so as usual we here in Europe got to read it this morning. He's not actually a bad writer but he either needs to learn to use a comma properly, or get an editor. I'm not going to volunteer for that job.
The sentence that is going to cause a lot of frustration and disappointment for our twitchy, little hyperactive, attention-seeking teenagers is this one;
I really hope to be able to update you all on the status of the Account DB and when the Game will be up on Tuesday.
You should read that sentence this way,
"I really hope to be able to update you all on the status (of the Account DB and when the Game will be up) on Tuesday."
Of course those lovely twitchy, little hyperactive, attention-seeking twits will read it this way,
"(I really hope to be able to update you all on the status of the Account DB and when) the Game will be up on Tuesday."
Please don't let yourself get caught up in the rumors and the frenzy this weekend, and the disappointment on Tuesday. There is no chance that the game will be up on Tuesday, complete with all of our character data.
