Over the weekend the tone on the G1 forums got downright dark. The Forum-Nazis came out in strength and started a lock/delete/ban march that was not quite like anything I've seen yet. Late last week Hyperion started a thread that gives the current information on the old character database, and then he locked it. He actually expects that people will read that post and never comment on the situation ever again. He doesn't know this community very well.

We want our characters back, dammit.

And why do people keep asking me when we're getting our characters back? If I knew, I would post it here, so quit asking me. Ask Hyperion. He likes your questions.

The other sore spot over the weekend was the 1.2x skill xp event. The G1 people had the nerve to call that event a 5x event, even though we used to have permanent 4x for skills from AKK-lame. Of course if you brought that up on the forum, the Forum-Nazis had the perfect excuse to treat you like the bug you are. STOMP!!!

Otherwise we did have 5x rates for experience and quite a number of no-life grinders used that as the perfect excuse to stay in the basement for the weekend. Pizza delivery dudes must have made a fortune.

How come there are no pizza delivery dudettes?

I only made it to FD2 because I took some time off to try to sell some shit, and I tried to get anything I could from Knife of White Shadows. I must have killed that dude over 25 times and I still didn't get the dodge trink from him. Drop Rates Suck.

Speaking of drop rates, my FD2 character is still using an RC10 spear because nothing else has dropped. How pathetic is that?

I'm still trying to get my Wan Daye RL4 spear and this economy is so wucking funderful that it's impossible to sell anything. The Restart Retards who promised that we would all start out with an economy that was somehow "fixed" actually gave us an economy that is castrated. Some of them are actually complaining that BE prices are all the way up to 300k already. Of course they are. It's the only thing that sells and you need 5 of them PLUS 2.5 million gold to make a WD RL4 weapon.

Of course a part of the blame for this economy can be handed to the morons who refuse to pick up their drops. How freaking hard is it to tap the space bar a couple times after every kill? Gold doesn't grow on trees in this game, it lands on the ground in front of you. Pick it up, for funderful sakes! You'll pick up weapons that you can NPC for 2k gold. Did you know that a stack of bear skins is worth 8k?

The only way we're going to get a useful amount of gold into the game is if everyone turns their drops into gold, so quit being so wucking stupid about it.

It's our turn to have a rant and G1 won't let us rant on their forum. Aren't you glad there are no Forum-Nazis here? Get your rant on people. The most creative rant will get 1 golden thread from me. Sorry I'm being so cheap, but it is a castrated economy after all.
