Hello All,

Today the biggest change/improvement was the update to the forums with a brand new 9Dragons skin! For the most part this was a welcomed change, however I did get a few complaints about the "emo-ness" of the skin, which is understandable.

For the time being, we won't be changing it, however once we get the game back up and we have time to focus on cosmetic changes, I plan to get feedback and suggestions from you for improvement. I was thinking maybe we could make a forum contest to design a new one...but that wont be for some time.

We have sent over a ton of information to Indy and they are sending us back some critical files (such as the game client) overnight.

Tomorrow, the new 9Dragons website should be live! That's kind of a big deal smile.gif

I had 30 PM's left before I started this post, so I PM box should be cleared tomorrow.

In my opinion, they're like Acclaim - just a bit more sympathetic in public, behind the doors the same. Acclaim was unsympathetic in public as well. If we gonna see this from G1 soon too?

It's the first backward step and the next part of the plan will be to hire Josh Levitan to run the game and Drakenfyre to moderate the forum.

Then all they need is a name change and it's Acclaim all over again.

Yeah, "improvement" is the new code word for breaking something that wasn't broken. G1 is obviously learning new tricks from Indy21.

Maybe they got tired of IPS Server Error's and decided to make the forum unreadable? That would be one way to keep the readers away.

Well i dont think theyre like acclaim cuz while playing wr i had a bug and it was responded by the staf in 3 mins and fixed within the hour so idk but they seem beter then acclaim.

In this case Lucky, they fixed something that wasn't broken.

I can hardly wait to see how they handle Indy21 in a similar situation.

They made forum black cuz they know u wouldnt like it :)

atm i think they just modified a lil bit the old version of the acclaim forum so they woldnt have much work on it and focus on the game so i do not think that atm its a priority, since theyre working on the game itself.

problably some emo-teen mod changed the forum cuz he had nothing beter to do.

but my opinion is that thee forum wold look beter with the backround with a sky and banboo(green blue and white[and black for the text])

Blue background would be great.

I'm asking you guys (already asked Hyperion, no response yet though): do you books with dark background and white font?

Both has the same effect and is similar.

I asked him the same thing on the books, and he has exactly one example for you.

Maybe they just thought lets try and bring things the way they were during acclaim period.
So at this point of time I am more interested in servers coming back ON rather than forum skin.

hi guys, I am having fun in real life. Part of my job is to play games and come out with market segments for players. Heh, think about the fun I will be having. :P . Now on RPG line. So offline gaming FTW for now.

I just checked now, with help from dj. The forum has open source, wich means you can change the theme for yourself, as you like it. So stop complaining, the devil is not so black afterall...

Update from Hermit: Steven, has spoken with the CEO of Indy21 and has his blessing to approach Disney, not as a representative of any company, but as a player advocate. Steven has requested the meeting with Disney through his management, and has been informed that due to the upcoming US holiday, it cannot occur until after Labor Day, which is this coming Tuesday.He assures you he will take the meeting as soon as possible, and will let you know when it is due to take place as soon as he knows. He is hopeful the issue can be resolved before GamersFirst is ready to open their servers, and hopes Disney will agree to reconsider their position once they understand that no personal information from players would need to be delivered.
