It's been a while since I had the chance to write a blog post about a patch and this one looks like a good one. A fair number of things have been fixed and there is a little bit of new content as well. Not much, but some.

First of all there is good news for our friends in the Restless League. The Wu Tang band creator has been fixed and warrior trainer is now selling the correct books again. That fix was a long time coming and I hope Indy21 can keep things straight from now on.

Also, it would appear that various quest based exploits that allowed people to gain experience or karma extremely quickly have been fixed as well. You can't have the options screen open while talking to an NPC anymore, so you can't log out and repeat the quest. That was a long time coming too, and another welcome change.

I haven't tested it myself, but the mini-map box for the Cave of the Conqueror isn't black anymore. You'll be able to figure out where you're going now. Also, there is now a buff from the Bloody Plain and CC Hermits that will stop other players from killing you while you grind in CC. That should stop the random PK karma farmers from making life miserable for other players. It will help with the quests that take you to CC as well.

Another major change has been made to reduce the experience gained from the party quests, and I'm not sure that's a good thing. Fortunately all of my characters have made it past those levels and it doesn't affect me.

As for new content all I can see is a set of new epithets that can be had from killing the very high level bosses on the Tibet map. I'll post the effects from those epithets when I get more information.

And lastly, we're getting a nice experience event this weekend with 3x on both Saturday and Sunday, starting at the normal times.
