You've probably seen these Damaged Hero Journals around Hefei lately, and I just found out where they come from. The first mobs you meet on the Tibet map are "Fiends of..." the various clans. The lowest levels are the Brotherhood and Beggar mobs and I protest! The Brotherhood are not the lowest of the Black Clans, thank you very much.

I've seen that the Sacred Flowers are in the next mob, so supposedly the Shaolin are with them. Then the Heavenly Demons and Wu-Tang Clan probably come after that. That's how the clans are usually paired up. Those guys are still red for me, so I haven't wandered up there too far.

The first two mobs will rarely drop one of these Damaged Hero Journals and I finally got a good explanation of what those things are for. In other versions of the game there are collections from the clan map that use these Journals. You buy a clan manual and combine them with a Hero Journal to get a better manual in return. Great Idea! The thing is, unless you have a character in every clan, not all of these Journals are all that useful to you.

I've made a deal with the Restless League to trade white for black Hero Journals. For now this wont be too big of a deal because there aren't many of us playing on the Tibet map, but when the time comes it will nice to have a supply of these Journals that we can each use.
