I've been just fascinated with the weapons in this game. When I first started playing I remember changing to a new spear pretty much every time I got one. I saved them all too, so it didn't take long until my courier account was full with +2/3 spears. Since then I've learned that I really don't need to change weapons quite that often, and a really good weapon will actually last you a long time.

All three of my characters have a Wan Daye weapon, but all three of them are having to play with them for a long time. A good example is my AxeDriver character. He has been carrying around a WD RL +5 Axe. That character is now SM10 and he's using a weapon that is 28 levels lower. It's a great weapon for use against RL and FD level mobs, but I'm now at the point where it just doesn't do enough damage against high SM level mobs. So it's time for a new Axe.

I have already made an EC level 15% critical hit weapon for AxeDriver, but he can't really use that yet. He can't use that weapon for another almost 20 levels. So, it's time to go shopping.

Have you ever noticed that there aren't a lot of axes for sale in Hefei? Me neither, until yesterday when I went looking for one. So, now what? I could make a 10% crit hit merchant's weapon but that would cost me a lot of flowstone, and I'm trying to save those for a replacement spear for SpearDriver.

And then it occured to me that AxeDriver doesn't actually need an axe. He's in the Brotherhood of Thieves, and they all know how to use a spear. It just so happens that I got an SM level spear as a drop yesterday too, so I refined it to +3. I went to check at the clan base to make sure I had all the spear skills, and then went off to grind. And it worked!

It took about an hour to level that new active skill to c6, but at that point I was doing more damage with the new spear, than I was doing with the old Axe. Even better, when AxeDriver gets to GB4 he's going to get to play with SpearDriver's main weapon, a WD GB +8 Spear. That spear does an insane amount of damage and should be more than enough to help me level up to the EC levels, where there is a good axe just waiting to be used.

To make a long story short, it cost me 1 BE to get a better weapon for AxeDriver, and I'm not going to have to spend anything more for weapons for that character, for a really long time to come.

So, who want's to buy a WD RL +5 Axe, with one scale on it, and hardness increase is possible?
