I got distracted tonight

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about "having goals". In the various versions of this blog I think that post got lost along the way. It's not a big deal. I tried to show that having a daily goal was a good idea, because it could help you to keep your "eyes on the prize", whatever that prize might happen to be.

That always worked for me in the real world, the business world, and it's been working for me in this game too, but tonight I took my eyes off the prize. I wanted to level tonight. I'm close to SM3 with my SpearDriver character and there is a new kung fu move at that level. I had to deal with a bunch of family stuff last weekend, so I figured it would happen today.

To make a long story short, I got caught up in a few VoH Killer Epi runs that didn't really go all that well. I don't mind doing league stuff at all. I think it's fantastic that we can come together to help each other. But we should be certain that we can achieve these Epi runs too, and I don't think we're there yet, not in the Valley of Hell anyway.

For starters, for me, an Epi run should be a secondary consideration to the loot that is in the dungeon. The Dungeons are a great source of wealth in this game, but if we are only just barely killing the boss with no time to grab loot? Well, maybe we need to wait until we all gain a couple more levels, so that we can grab that loot too.

As for me, I am going to level tomorrow. And if we get the promised 4x event too, I'm going to grind my butt off to get SM4 as well. What are your goals?

Yep. Sometimes we just "a little more help", and then it all goes well.

Great screens shots on the next post, btw.
