I think everyone knows by now that RedCross from our league has been playing his vagabond character most of the time, but I don't think many people know about his latest accomplishments. Red has said a few times that playing a vagabond is like playing this game on the hard setting, and he's right. I've tried and it doesn't rock, or roll. It's hard.

You need the best equipment possible and I don't recommend you try it as your main character. You need to be rich in-game in order to be able to buy all the items your vagabond would need. There's no bands or league, and very little chat except for party chat. It can be a lonely road, but as [VGM]Hermes said, "they party like animals".

It's a good thing too because there are no party quests and the dungeons are usually impossible until you are too high a level to get any good drops. Despite the difficulty Red has done some amazing things with that character.

Let's make a list;

First Vagabond on Bardo to make Humble Master.
First Vagabond ever to get the Killer of True General Wei epithet.
First Vagabond ever to make Little Master, and...
First Vagabond ever to make it to the Hermit levels of the game.

For his latest trick he's grinding in the School of the Rising Sun Dungeon and what's more he's helping people with the North Sea Icy Plain sealed epithets that can be unsealed by killing mobs inside that dungeon. Last night the Vagabond Sword helped my SpearDriver character to unseal the Silver Spirit epithet. Yes you read that right. A vagabond, the weakest character in the game, was tanking for a warrior.

How crazy is that?

I need that Silver Spirit epithet for the hit point return that it gives. Hit point return is the only way a warrior survives the grind on the Ice Map and I already have 14/1000 hp return. Even with that I still have to run and meditate once in a while. The extra 3/1000 from the epithet will be really helpful, and thank you again Red for the help in getting that epithet.
