The Thanksgiving event is sort of over, just like it sort of started, so Warda has gone out and built another of her collection quests for a good experience event. I sure like the experience events but I keep seeing the same problems every time Warda puts on one of these quests.
The first mistake she keeps making, and this really is a problem, is that she badly underestimates how difficult some of these items are to collect. She's already gone down the list of painful items like wooden branches and broken arrows. She even tried to include needles on one list. Well this time she's asking for leather pouches and those just don't drop fast enough that we'll be able to collect 1000 of them in a couple of days.
The Confucionists in Death Valley drop these pouches (black side. I don't know about whites) and there are only a few Confucionists around at one time. In the short time that your character will be in the right levels to grind on them, you aren't going to get a lot of leather pouches. That's not an easy grinding spot either. You're constantly on the run in Death Valley.
I think we had this item in a previous list too and we managed to collect 1000 of them, but mostly because some people already had some in the bag. We don't have that this time and we're falling short.
The second problem in these collection quest lists is that Warda keeps asking for items that are extremely valuable, like dungeon passes or pass materials. Dungeons are the source of wealth in this game and if she keeps asking for passes we're literally giving away game gold. I'm not turning in any more dungeon passes unless the drop rate for them goes way up.
This week the collection list has an NPC item, Tiger Bracers. You can buy them from the Smithy in Bisha, on the Datong map. Does anyone know where to buy these on the white maps? Tiger Bracers cost 110k each and if Warda wants 1000 of them? That's 110 million in game gold to give away. I don't have that kind of gold to give away, but if you do, we still need almost 400 of them for the Bardo list. Those things don't stack very well either.
The last problem I'm seeing is that you need to have a character in the right range for each of these items. Once you take out the dungeon passes or pass materials none of my usual characters can collect anything on this list. I took out one of my stand characters, put my 500 defense clothes and dodge deco on him and started collecting Big Pouches. That's not really fair against LS level mobs, but this isn't about being fair. I want that experience event, and if you want it too, get out there and get a few of these items.
There is an active list available on a google spreadsheet document, so you'll know what is needed at all times.
