There has been a lot of discussion lately in our league channel about "where to grind", or "what color" to grind on. A lot of people are saying yellow mobs because you get slightly more XP per kill, and it adds up over time. They're right, but that doesn't take everything in to account.
For one, not every character can self heal. Warriors can't, and that makes a big difference to my grinding habits. For starters, I need a place to run to so that I can meditate. Warriors can't really heal except by meditating and that takes time. My grinding sessions are quite a bit different than that of a hybrid or healer.
If I can kill more green mobs than yellow mobs between meditation sessions, then over time, I'm getting more XP from green mobs. I can do far more damage to a green mob, and they do far less damage to me, particularly one on one, and I miss far less often on a green mob too. This adds up, over time.
What I'm actually doing is looking for mobs that have a nice steady spawn rate that can keep me grinding constantly. I usually start with a new mob when they are one level above me (yellow), and I start slowly with them. I like to see just where they spawn, and how often. At the yellow stage I use the range attacks to draw them to me, or stun attacks for quick kills. As I level up with the mob this system gets quite a bit easier to work, and the XP starts rolling in.
I used this system really well on the bears in Datong at the mid to high RL levels, and now I'm working on the Cursed Elder Monks in the middle of Datong at the mid FD levels. In between these I was grinding on the Depraved Monks and for a warrior those are best done in a party with a good healer. That mob is a bit of a free-for-all.
Do you have a system? Why not tell us about it?

I regulary attack white and yellow.
Since my char is SM1 i'm attacking SM3 mobs. I have just started to grind in Nanchang, but i get 50% more exp by grinding in Nanchang then in Jinan.
Was grinding on a full party and buff everyone and heal myself every mob i killed, i can grind 30min. I went from 60%FD10 to SM1.
It was 3X lucky cricket event.
