The next weapon?

Posted by SpearDriver in

I've mentioned many times that I like to have "the next weapon" in the bag. It gives me something to drool over while I'm watching over my stand, late in the evenings. Yesterday I discovered the value of having "a spare weapon" in the bag.

Yet again the Master Refiner in Hefei took away one of my weapons. That Bitch!

She did it to me again, and I know she's done it to a few of you as well. I took my FD9 quest spear for refining because I just wasn't doing enough damage to the Valley of Hell mobs. I wanted to make it a +6 weapon. I knew there was a risk of it vanishing though so I waited until I got a reasonably good drop before making the attempt.

Sure enough, my beautiful hit-point return weapon is gone and I was forced to try to refine my backup weapon. I actually succeeded in doing that and now I've got a +6 blue spear that is going to be impossible to sell for anything close to what it is worth in Blood Essence.

Seriously though, how do game concepts like this get into a game? After all, we're all trying to get a better weapon, so we can go after the next mob. We're trying to improve our characters and we spend a lot of time at it. I can't actually see spending real world money on a game system that regularly takes away the items that we all work so hard for.

Game concepts like this seriously take away from the enjoyment value of a game, and I am simply not going to pay real world money for something that I don't enjoy. I already spend enough time on this game as it is.

i recommend to buy already refined weapons... i've spent so many millions trying to refine +5 or +6. i bought SM WD and it broke at +5 attempt, higher weapons also broke at +6 attempt, its ok to pay 20% more for +6 and even 50% more for +7 green/wd weapons than they cost to make by yourself...

think about trying to make a GB WD +6 for example.. lets say that 2 weapons broke and third will success. this will cost you 40kk multiplied by 3, so thats 120kk for +6 GB WD... while you can buy same weapon 50-70kk from other players

some people are actually very rich after attempting +7/+8/+9 with just one try! its like having a jackpot
